DESCRIPTION:„Dead Finks is the musical output of New Zealand born duo Joseph Thomas and Erin Violet. Its current and longest-running incarnation is a 4-piece band based in Berlin\, featuring Ivan Krasnov on guitar and Nick Jongen on drums\, playing post-punk music in the tradition of Wire\, Sonic Youth and Parquet Courts. Über ihre LP \,Lipstic Love‘ urteilte visions.de folgendermaßen: \n\n„Clement Hoffers Stimme scheppert und kratzt über die abgewetzten Gitarrenriffs und öffnet damit die Tür für zahlreiche 60s-Rock-Referenzen. Würde man The Sonics das Saxofon wegnehmen\, wäre der Schritt zu „Lipstick Love“ nicht weit. Die Genregrenzen sind eng abgesteckt\, etwaige Ausflüge beschränken sich auf verwandten Surf Rock à la Best Coast und Home Alone\, einen Indiehit mit catchy Handclaps. „Hypochondria“ beginnt dagegen ungemütlich mit schleimigem Husten\, auf den ganz Deutschland vorsichtshalber erstmal die gehamsterten Desinfektionsspray-Reserven sprüht.
